Baku: There is no possibility of the leaders of the junta and other individuals who committed crimes against the Azerbaijani people being released or extradited to Armenia. In accordance with the bilateral agreement reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the principles of humanism, four individuals convicted under various articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan-Vagif Cherkezi Khachaturyan, Gevorg Rubenovich Sujyan, David Tigrani Davtyan, and Viken Abraham Euljekjian-were extradited to Armenia.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, there is no such possibility for others currently undergoing trial. “These possibilities are an illusion. There is no possibility that the leaders of the junta and other individuals who committed crimes against the Azerbaijani people will be released or extradited to Armenia,” the government source said.
Another government official reiterated the same stance to the agency, stating, “They will answer for the criminal acts they committed and will be punished in the most severe form after their guilt is proven.”
