The State Program for the Development of Intellectual Property and Innovation in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022-2026 has been approved. The corresponding decision was signed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

The decision to approve this program was made in order to implement the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026, approved by Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic dated October 12, 2021, as well as to create conditions for the formation of a balanced and efficient ecosystem of intellectual property and innovation in the Kyrgyz Republic by 2026.

As of January 1, 2022, 74,053 intellectual property objects are protected on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
