Astana: Kazakhstan has intensified its geological exploration efforts, identifying 38 promising deposits of copper, nickel, coal, gold, and rare earth metals, in the first quarter of 2025, the country’s Kazinform news agency reported, yesterday.
According to Nam News Network, Kazakhstan’s geological and geophysical surveys are projected to cover 2.2 million square kilometres by 2026, up from 2.014 million square kilometres in 2024.
In the first quarter of this year, large-scale research activities were conducted nationwide, including aerial image analysis, field surveys, drilling, water sampling, radiation testing, as well as geochemical and desktop studies.
