Karabakh Horses Take Center Stage at Windsor Royal Horse Show – 2026


London: The traditional ‘Windsor Royal Horse Show – 2026’ commenced in the United Kingdom, drawing significant attention with the participation of Azerbaijan’s delegation. The Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation revealed that Azerbaijan is making its debut at the event, represented by a substantial delegation of 150 people, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and organized by the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the show featured a composition titled ‘Azerbaijan – Land of Fire,’ which stood out as one of the most striking performances this year. The demonstration included Karabakh horses, known for their wildness and beauty, alongside elegant Azerbaijani dances, national music, and orchestra performances. The State Border Service’s dance ensemble and cavalry unit, accompanied by 23 Karabakh horses, showcased Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage, earning admiration from the audience.



The show composition was led by Honored Artist Govhar Hasanzade, with stage direction and choreography by Honored Artist Farid Ibrahimov, and training by chief instructor Imran Ahmadli. The Exemplary Military Orchestra was conducted by Honored Artist Samad Vakilov. The performance, based on music from the operetta ‘Arshin Mal Alan’ by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, highlighted the richness of Azerbaijani music.



King Charles III attended the event, expressing respect and interest in the ‘Azerbaijan – Land of Fire’ show. Honored Artist Afag Abbasova, soloist Fatima Jafarzada, Honored Artist Tural Agasiyev, soloist Fakhri Kazim Nijat, and Rauf Zeynalov delivered exceptional performances in leading roles, earning applause from the audience.



The delegation’s performances will continue through May 17, with the ‘Land of Fire’ polo team set to perform today.
