Kapitalbank Rebrands Loyalty Program as ‘Bir Bonus’ for Integrated Customer Experience

Baku: Kapitalbank has announced a strategic rebranding of its well-known ‘Umico Bonus’ loyalty program to ‘Bir Bonus,’ marking a significant shift in its approach to customer loyalty. Farid Islamov, the General Director of the Loyalty Program Department of the Bir ecosystem, revealed insights into this transformation, emphasizing that the change is not merely cosmetic but represents a comprehensive evolution of the loyalty concept.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the rebranding to ‘Bir Bonus’ signifies a unification of Kapitalbank’s various services under the Bir ecosystem. Islamov explained that this initiative is designed to provide customers with a seamless experience by integrating all bonuses from different services like Birbank, Birmarket, and m10 into a single platform. This integration allows users to earn and spend bonuses effortlessly across various services, creating a unified financial experience.

Islamov also highlighted the introduction of gamified elements within the program, offering customers monthly tasks and goals to enhance engagement. The ‘Bir Bonus’ program extends beyond personal benefits, promising partners access to a vast customer base and advanced tools for targeted marketing strategies. Partners can now tailor campaigns to specific business goals, enhancing sales and customer loyalty.

To ensure a smooth transition, Kapitalbank implemented a multi-staged strategy, preparing partners with training and resources to mitigate any challenges. Customers retain the flexibility to choose between the old cashback system and the new bonus platform during the transition, allowing them to adapt at their own pace.

Behind the scenes, the project’s development was driven by a dynamic team effort, with employees across various departments collaborating intensively in the project’s final stages. Islamov expressed pride in the team’s dedication, noting that their collective energy was pivotal to the project’s success.

Looking ahead, the ‘Bir Bonus’ program aims to expand its impact, continuously adding new features and partners to enhance the customer experience. Islamov emphasized that the initiative is not just a commercial venture but also a social mission aimed at fostering digital and financial inclusivity across Azerbaijan, contributing to the country’s digital economic development.
