Baku:A representative from Kanaky has emphasized the significance of establishing relations with Azerbaijan. Isabelle Serai Kaloi, a member of a delegation composed of socio-political activists from Kanaky (New Caledonia) and Ma’ohi Nui (French Polynesia, Tahiti), addressed journalists on the matter.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kaloi stated that Kanaky is currently in the midst of a decolonization process. In this context, forming partnerships and developing cooperation with countries like Azerbaijan is considered crucial.
Kaloi further elaborated that such cooperation is especially vital in supporting the Kanak people’s ongoing struggle for sovereignty.
