Siena:Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, recently met with a delegation led by Eskandar Momeni, the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is visiting Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the meeting focused on expanding ties between the relevant institutions in the field of emergency management, as part of the ongoing development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
During the discussions, Kamaladdin Heydarov provided detailed information about the activities of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations. He highlighted the mutual benefits of cooperation in exchanging information and experience, operational coordination in handling emergencies, and other related areas. Heydarov expressed confidence that the visit and discussions would enhance the development of bilateral relations.
Eskandar Momeni acknowledged Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance during past large-scale emergencies in Iran and highlighted the potential for further cooperation in emergency management. He emphasized the importance of the visit for strengthening relations between the two countries.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
