Tehran: Iranian Foreign Ministry official, Esmaeil Baghaei, emphasized the significance of developing relations with Azerbaijan at a press conference in Tehran. He underscored Iran’s interest in fostering lasting peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus, a region neighboring Iran.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Baghaei highlighted the existing neighborhood, historical, and cultural ties between Iran and Azerbaijan, noting that these connections facilitate the advancement of mutual relations. He stressed Iran’s commitment to enhancing diplomatic ties as a means to strengthen their relationship.
Baghaei also announced that the Iranian Foreign Minister would visit Azerbaijan today to engage in a series of meetings with Azerbaijani officials, aimed at promoting bilateral cooperation.
