Iran Expresses Willingness to Negotiate Under Certain Conditions

Tehran: Iran is open to engaging in negotiations provided that diplomatic efforts are not undermined, stated Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi during a meeting with foreign diplomats in Tehran.

According to Trend News Agency, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s ongoing readiness to discuss its nuclear program, reiterating that Iran seeks assurances against the resumption of talks leading to regional conflict instigated by the U.S. or other nations. He underscored concerns about previous incidents where ongoing nuclear discussions were disrupted by military actions.

Araghchi pointed out that during the previous nuclear talks, Israel, in coordination with the U.S., carried out attacks on Iran. The situation intensified on June 13, when Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian sites, resulting in the deaths of senior military officials, including generals and nuclear scientists.

In a swift response on the same day, Iran launched ‘True Promise III,’ deploying hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones targeting multiple locations in Israel, including Tel Aviv. This retaliation led to civilian casualties and significant damage in Israel.
