Baku:Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar emphasized the importance of developing economic ties with Azerbaijan during a joint press conference with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. Jaishankar noted that mutual respect for cultures and peoples was a foundation for discussing the expansion of bilateral relations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the development of economic ties, increasing trade turnover, and promoting investment were highlighted as key priorities during the discussions. An agreement was reached to expand cooperation in these areas.
Additionally, Jaishankar mentioned the need for close coordination on international transport corridors, indicating that this was also a topic of discussion between the two countries.
