Ian Nepomniachtchi emerged victorious at the 2024 Vugar Hashimov Memorial held in the Azerbaijan’s city of Shusha.
After scoring 10 points in the rapid portion and 9 points in the blitz, Nepomniachtchi led the tournament with 19 points.
Uzbek Nodirbek Abdusattorov finished as the runner-up, while Azerbaijan’s GM Shahriyar Mammadyarov took the third place.
