Baku:The 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Defense Industry Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States OTS) took place on October 1, 2026, in Baku, coinciding with the ADEX-2026 Exhibition.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including Vugar Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the OTS, and the heads of defense industry institutions from the member states.
Minister Vugar Mustafayev highlighted the significance of holding the meeting alongside ADEX 2026, the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition. He noted that the event provides a vital platform for discussions and allows countries to display their industrial capabilities, technologies, and potential partnerships in one location.
The meeting covered various topics including human resources, engineering capabilities, institutional cooperation, joint production, industrial collaboration, research and development, and new technologies.
Speeches were also delivered by the Secretary General of the OTS and the heads of defense industry institutions from the member states. The meeting concluded with the adoption of a ‘Roadmap for Cooperation in the field of Defense Industry among the OTS Member States’ for 2027.
