Global Stock Markets See Predominantly Negative Trends


New york: In the U.S. stock markets, the Dow Jones index fell by 0.57% to 48,861.81 points, while the S and P 500 index declined by 0.04% to 7,135.95 points. The Nasdaq Composite index, however, rose by 0.04% to 24,673.24 points. The NYSE Composite index decreased by 0.37% to 22,751.51 points, and the S and P/TSX Composite index dropped by 0.79% to 33,318.39 points.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, mainly negative dynamics were also recorded in European stock markets. The Euro Stoxx 50 index fell by 0.34% to 5,816.48 points. The FTSE 100 index declined by 1.16% to 10,213.11 points. The DAX index decreased by 0.27% to 23,954.56 points, the CAC 40 index fell by 0.39% to 8,072.13 points, and the IBEX 35 index dropped by 0.74% to 17,642.80 points.



In Asian stock markets, major indices also declined. The Nikkei 225 index fell by 1.43% to 59,060.06 points. The TOPIX index decreased by 1.6% to 3,711.83 points, the Hang Seng index dropped by 1.23% to 25,789.59 points, and the CSI 300 index edged down by 0.01% to 4,809.76 points.
