Global Stock Market Indices Show Mixed Results Across Regions


New York: The global stock markets exhibited varied performances on June 25, with some indices experiencing gains while others recorded losses. In the United States, the Dow Jones index saw a slight decrease of 0.25%, closing at 42,982.43 points. In contrast, the Nasdaq index reported an increase of 0.31%, reaching 19,973.55 points.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets reflected a downward trend. The FTSE 100 index in the United Kingdom fell by 0.46% to 8,718.75 points. Germany’s DAX index experienced a more significant decline of 0.61%, settling at 23,498.33 points. Additionally, France’s CAC-40 index saw a decrease of 0.76%, ending the day at 7,558.16 points.



In the currency markets, the euro demonstrated strength against the US dollar, appreciating by 0.25% to settle at 1.1688 dollars. This shift indicates a mild increase in the euro’s value relative to the dollar, reflecting broader market trends and economic indicators impacting currency valuations.
