Global Oil Production Growth Rate to Accelerate: Forecast


Baku: The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the U.S. Department of Energy has updated its forecast for daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2025-2026, APA-Economics reports citing EIA’s monthly report. The average daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons this year is expected to be 104.61 million barrels, which is 0.26 million barrels more than the previous forecast.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, EIA estimates that next year, the daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons will be at the level of 105.72 million barrels, compared to the previous forecast of 105.14 million barrels. The report indicates that in 2024, the daily production of liquid hydrocarbons was 102.8 million barrels, marking an increase of 0.78 million barrels from the 2023 figure of 102.02 million barrels.



In a historical context, the average daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons in 2022 was 99.99 million barrels. This figure was higher than the 2021 production of 95.7 million barrels and the 2020 production of 93.84 million barrels. The production level in 2019 stood at 100.61 million barrels.
