Germany Eyes Azerbaijan’s Logistics Potential in Middle Corridor


Baku: A new episode of the program “Azerbaijan and the World” has been released on the AZERTAC website, featuring host Tamilla Mammadova in conversation with German political scientist and international relations expert Klemens Fischer. The discussion focused on the prospects for cooperation between Germany and Azerbaijan amid changing global politics.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Fischer highlighted the increasing importance of energy security and noted that Germany is actively developing bilateral relations with Azerbaijan. Germany views Azerbaijan as an essential and promising partner, particularly in energy, trade, and logistics. Germany exports industrial equipment, automobiles, chemical, and electrical products to Azerbaijan and is keen on Azerbaijan’s logistics potential within the Middle Corridor.



Fischer also pointed out the significant role of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce in supporting German companies and fostering investment cooperation. He mentioned that Germany considers Azerbaijan a potential future supplier of green hydrogen for the European market.
