General-Colonel Warns of Global Security Threats Amid Rapid Changes

Moscow: On May 28-30, 2025, the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues took place in Moscow, focusing on the theme “Equal and Indivisible Security Architecture: Opportunities and Threats for Southern and Eastern States.” The event, held in the Russian Federation’s capital, was attended by delegations from 126 countries, representing 105 nations across the globe.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation from Azerbaijan was led by General-Colonel Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the three-day dialogue, discussions centered on developing a new global security architecture, protecting critical information infrastructure from terrorist attacks and sabotage, and combating internet fraud.

In his address, Ramil Usubov highlighted that the rapidly evolving global processes present new challenges and threats to worldwide security and stability. He expressed concerns about the limited capacity of the global South and East to independently address these issues, underscoring the necessity for international collaboration. Usubov also discussed Azerbaijan’s contributions to creating and enhancing a sustainable security environment both regionally and globally, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Throughout the event, participating delegates exchanged views on strengthening security relations, explored prospects for bilateral cooperation, and discussed other topics of mutual interest.
