Garadagh: Volume of electricity produced at the Garadagh hydroelectric power station is expected to reach 1 billion kilowatt-hours by October 26, 2023. Javid Abdullayev, the director of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy, shared this information with journalists, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, “Masdar” is identified as one of the primary partners in the region, having collaborated on the construction of the Qaradagh Solar Power Plant. Abdullayev highlighted that it has been two years since the plant, with a capacity of 230 megawatts, commenced operations. By the upcoming anniversary, the facility is anticipated to achieve the significant milestone of generating 1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
Abdullayev noted initial projections estimated an annual production of half a billion kilowatt-hours. However, current developments suggest that by the end of October, the plant will have produced a cumulative total of 1 billion kilowatt-hours, marking a substantial achievement for the Qaradagh Solar Power Plant.
