France Agrees to Return Detained Azerbaijani Children to Germany

Paris: The Azerbaijani Embassy in France has announced an agreement with the French authorities to return two Azerbaijani children, who were previously detained, back to Germany. The children, Abdullayev Deniz Mahammad oglu and Abdullayev Araz Mahammad oglu, had been held temporarily in France following a custody decision by a German court involving their parents, Mahammad Guliyev and Gultaj Abdullayeva.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the decision to return the children was made in compliance with a German court ruling that removed custody rights from the parents. The transfer back to Germany was completed on August 18 with the children being accompanied by German representatives. The Azerbaijani Embassy, along with the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, will provide legal support to the parents in this matter.
