Baku: Azerbaijan has become a major center of discussions on global urbanization issues. The participation of a record number of nearly 45,000 delegates from all over the world in the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) demonstrates the importance and relevance of this platform for dialogue and for recognizing the scale of urbanization challenges, Hulusi Kili§, former Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan and representative of the IMZA Social Development Support Public Union in Trkiye, told AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan, with its extensive experience in organizing international events, is significantly contributing to the dialogue within the WUF13. Hulusi Kili§ also recalled the successful hosting of the COP29 climate summit in Baku.
‘Baku’s becoming the first city in the region to host the WUF forums is another sign of Azerbaijan’s growing influence, marking a success for the entire Turkic world,” Hulusi Kili§ noted.
