Baku: On May 1, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi. During the telephone conversation, the sides discussed bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the current regional situation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Seyed Abbas Araghchi briefed the Azerbaijani counterpart on Iran’s recent peace initiatives and outlined the country’s position regarding efforts to end ongoing conflicts in the region. Both parties underlined the importance of continued efforts aimed at ensuring peace, stability, and security in the region, as well as reducing tensions.
During the phone call, the ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
