First Ladies Explore Kyrgyz Handicrafts at Bishkek Exhibition

Baku: First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva of Azerbaijan, along with First Lady Aigul Zhaparova of Kyrgyzstan, First Lady Emine Erdogan of Trkiye, First Lady Ziroat Mirziyoyeva of Uzbekistan, and First Lady Peng Liyuan of China, visited the Ala Archa State Residence in Bishkek on September 1.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the visit was part of a cultural program that included an exhibition of handicrafts by Kyrgyz folk artisans. The first ladies were greeted by Kyrgyzstan’s First Lady Aigul Zhaparova and were introduced to the rich cultural heritage and unique traditions of the Kyrgyz people through the display of decorative and applied arts.

The exhibition featured an array of felt products, traditional household items, and other handmade artifacts that showcased the centuries-old craftsmanship and national character of Kyrgyzstan. The diverse range of items reflected the intricate skills of Kyrgyz artisans and provided insight into the nation’s decorative arts.

In addition to the exhibition, a concert program was prepared for the distinguished guests. Creative ensembles and performers delivered musical and dance performances that highlighted the beauty of Kyrgyz national culture, the richness of its traditions, and the hospitality of its people.
