Fire Erupts at Electrical Substation in Azerbaijan’s Ujar District


Ujar: A major fire has broken out at an electrical substation in Ujar district of Azerbaijan, APA reports. The fire started following an explosion in one of the oil switches at a substation owned by Azerbaijan Railways, located in the Mususlu village of the district. Emergency crews and equipment from the Ujar and Kurdamir District Fire Protection Departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. Thanks to the efforts of firefighters, the blaze was brought under control. No casualties or injuries were reported.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as a result of the incident, power supply was cut off to two villages in Goychay and four villages in Ujar. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
