Khankendi: The final day of archery competitions held at the Khankendi city stadium as part of the III CIS Games hosted by Azerbaijan has concluded, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports. In the final round, the Azerbaijani women’s national team faced the Belarusian team for the bronze medal. In the match, the Azerbaijani team finished in 4th place.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, although the Azerbaijani team’s chances of winning a medal were highly appreciated, injuries sustained by athletes during the competition days affected their ability to perform at their full potential. In the boys’ team competition, Russia claimed first place, followed by Kazakhstan in second, and Uzbekistan in third.
In the women’s team competition, archers from Russia secured first place, with Uzbekistan taking second and Belarus finishing in third place. The mixed team competition saw Belarus take the top position, Kazakhstan second, and Russia third.
In the boys’ individual competitions, Uzbekistan emerged victorious, with Russia taking second place and Russian athletes securing third. In the girls’ individual competitions, Kazakhstan took first place, Russia secured second, and Russian archers finished in third place.
