Zangilan: The identification of the whereabouts of missing persons is important, said international expert on human rights and humanitarian law Afarin Shahidzade today as part of a visit to Zangilan, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Afarin Shahidzade shared insights on her experience with missing persons and emphasized the significance of locating them. She expressed her pleasure in returning to Karabakh, noting that this was her fourth visit to the region. Shahidzade observed significant changes, mentioning ongoing construction and the return of people to the area. However, she pointed out that time is necessary to clear the heavily mined territories, as mine clearance operations continue.
Shahidzade particularly highlighted the importance of identifying the whereabouts of missing persons, acknowledging the need of their relatives and loved ones to know what happened to them.
