European Natural Gas Prices See Over 2% Increase Amid Market Fluctuations

Amsterdam: Natural gas prices in Europe rose by more than 2% as market trading concluded yesterday, with prices surpassing 325 US dollars per 1,000 cubic meters. The increase has been a notable shift in the energy market dynamics in the region.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the price of January futures under the TTF index, which is the Netherlands’ Title Transfer Facility and Europe’s most liquid virtual trading hub, reached 327 dollars. This marks a 2.1% increase compared to the previous settlement price of 320.2 dollars.

Since December 31, 2020, Azerbaijani gas has been transported to Europe via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), influencing the region’s energy supply and market trends.
