Baku:European companies are increasingly viewing the Middle Corridor as a safer alternative transport route between Europe and Asia. This perspective is highlighted by a recent survey conducted for the EU Business Climate Report Azerbaijan 2025/2026, which shows significant interest in this option.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, 25% of companies surveyed are either using or planning to use the Middle Corridor, while another 24% are considering this route within the next two to three years. Aytan Akhundova, Team Leader of the Azerbaijan-European Union Business Forum, shared these insights, emphasizing the strategic importance of Azerbaijan’s geographical position and the growing international interest in the Middle Corridor.
Akhundova further noted that Azerbaijan’s strategic location is a key factor in attracting investment to its transport and logistics sector. European companies see great long-term potential in the Middle Corridor, which is contributing to increased investment in the region.
