Euronews CEO: AI Must Have Control Mechanisms

Shusha: A one-on-one meeting on the topic of ‘Digital Pathways: Strengthening Information and Media Resilience in the Age of AI’ was held at the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum. The event focused on ‘Journalism in the AI Era: Preserving Truth Amid Automation,’ as reported by APA’s correspondent assigned to Shusha.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Claus Strunz, CEO of Euronews, delivered a speech at the meeting. He emphasized that artificial intelligence provides an opportunity for introspection, stating, “Disinformation is both a threat and an opportunity. Every day, when new news is published, journalists think: Is this fake news or not?”

Strunz highlighted the necessity for control mechanisms in AI, asserting, “We must check every piece of information, filter it. Artificial intelligence can be seen as a new employee. Artificial intelligence is used all over the world, and this technology is changing the information environment.”
