‘Equal Opportunities in Technology’ Project Launched in Azerbaijan for First Time


Baku: The ‘Equal Opportunities in Technology’ project is being implemented in Azerbaijan for the first time after Trkiye, Chairman of the Management Board of Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan Mete Shamil Ozturk said during an event held in Baku within the framework of the program, APA-Economics reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the project, launched jointly by Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)-affiliated CIFAL Istanbul and Bah§esehir University (BAU), aims to strengthen the role of women in the field of technology. The initiative equips participants with a wide range of skills tailored for today’s world and the future. Ozturk expressed pride in implementing the program in Azerbaijan following its success in Trkiye, highlighting the bank’s commitment to the global development vision of Ko§ Holding and Yapi Kredi.



The chairman further mentioned the importance Ko§ Holding places on women’s development through its initiatives, noting that the project’s targets have been achieved ahead of schedule. The ‘Generation Equality Forum’ commitments set a goal to reach 80,000 women by the end of 2026. As a result of these initiatives, significant progress has been made in expanding women’s opportunities in education, technology, and various fields, with the target already reached.
