Energy and Defense Industries Forge New Ties Between Azerbaijan and Czech Republic

Baku: Energy cooperation and the development of renewable energy sources are emerging as key areas of collaboration between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, according to Czech economist Jan Nemecek. In a recent episode of the “Azerbaijan and the World” program broadcast on the AZERTAC website, Nemecek highlighted the significance of these partnerships in bolstering bilateral relations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Nemecek emphasized that while expanding the traditional gas sector remains a priority, there is also a strong focus on advancing green energy projects, particularly in solar and wind generation. This shift towards renewable energy presents opportunities for joint projects and investments, as Azerbaijan seeks to implement cutting-edge European energy technologies.

Furthermore, the defense industry has been identified as a promising new avenue for cooperation. Projects aimed at establishing joint production facilities and service centers are already in progress. Nemecek believes that this collaborative approach will enhance industrial cooperation and facilitate technological exchange between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
