Baku: Emin Agalarov, President of Agalarov Development, announced that winning projects from the “Green Startups among Children and Youth” contest will be implemented at Sea Breeze. As part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the Sea Breeze Pavilion hosted an award ceremony to honor these innovative young minds.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the contest, organized in collaboration with the ‘Ecosphere’ social and ecological center, aimed to inspire children of various ages to develop a vision for an eco-friendly city and resort of the future. The program spanned approximately three months and included the ‘Winter Lab’ and ‘Spring Lab’, where participants, guided by mentors and experts in urban planning, urbanism, and ecology, worked on their modern sustainable city concepts.
Emin Agalarov announced that 12 finalists were selected from the 50 startups that participated in the contest. Although the expectation was to choose one grand prize winner, the final decision honored three winning projects. He emphasized that these ideas would not remain theoretical but would be brought to life at Sea Breeze.
The winners received diplomas, special gifts, and cash prizes as recognition for their innovative contributions. During the event, Agalarov also toured the ‘Sea Breeze’ stand, interacted with forum participants, and took photos with his fans.
