Egyptian TV Program Sheds Light on Azerbaijan’s Role in World Urban Forum


Cairo: An Egyptian TV Channel has recently aired a special program focusing on Azerbaijan’s strategic geographical position and its increasing influence on international platforms.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the program provided in-depth coverage on the upcoming 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) set to take place in Baku, emphasizing the significance of the event.



The reports from the program highlighted the World Urban Forum as an essential international platform for addressing global challenges in urban planning. During the broadcast, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Cairo, Elkhan Polukhov, underscored that the country will host the event under the auspices of the United Nations, marking it as the second largest event after the Conference of Parties (COP). He further noted the historic achievement of Azerbaijan being the first nation in the post-Soviet space to host such global events like the COP and the WUF.



The program also spotlighted Azerbaijan’s experience gained during its leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement. It was noted that all countries have been invited to participate in the WUF13 forum in Baku, with Azerbaijan leveraging Egypt’s extensive experience in organizing such international events.



The broadcast praised the high-level relations and reciprocal visits between Azerbaijan and Egypt, pointing out the broad opportunities for further development of cooperation. The importance of strengthening economic ties between the two nations was also highlighted as a key topic in the program.
