Baku:Travel connectivity from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to Europe has been enhanced with the launch of a new direct flight destination. Wizz Air, a leading low-cost airline in Europe, commenced its first direct flight from Bratislava to Baku on October 28, as reported by the airport to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this new route provides an alternative for passengers seeking low-cost travel to Central Europe, adding Bratislava to the roster of European capitals accessible by direct flights from Baku.

Bratislava, situated along the Danube River, is an appealing spot for short European excursions, boasting a compact historic center, Bratislava Castle, diverse gastronomy, and a laid-back urban vibe. The geographical position of Bratislava in Central Europe offers additional benefits to travelers, with the Slovak capital being approximately 65 km from Vienna, serving as a strategic starting point for further travels to other cities in the region.

The Baku-Bratislava route will operate twice weekly during the winter season, specifically on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with a flight duration of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

This new destination aligns with Heydar Aliyev International Airport’s ongoing efforts to broaden direct flight options for passengers, providing varied travel and fare choices, while also enhancing Baku’s air network with European cities.
