Deputy Minister Rahman Hummatov Meets Caspian Policy Center Delegation at MDDT

Baku: Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov met with a delegation led by Afgan Nifti, Chairman of the Board of the US-based Caspian Policy Center, APA-Economics reports. The meeting focused on discussions around transport, energy, digitalization, economic cooperation, and sustainable development in the Caspian region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rahman Hummatov shared insights on infrastructure and institutional reforms aimed at expanding the Middle Corridor. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s strategic initiatives to establish itself as a multimodal logistics hub in the region. Key developments include the introduction of digital transport systems, and the modernization of ports, railways, and airports, particularly highlighting the importance of the Zangezur corridor in these efforts.

Furthermore, Rahman Hummatov acknowledged the valuable research and initiatives by the Caspian Policy Center in areas such as sustainable development, energy security, and regional stability in the Caspian region. The meeting also explored the potential for future collaboration through joint projects and analytical platforms.
