Deputy Minister Highlights Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Cartography Development

Baku: Azerbaijan is poised to make significant contributions to the field of cartography, as highlighted by Rashad Ismayilov, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. Speaking at the 2nd Meeting of Heads of Mapping Institutions of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ismayilov emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in mapping natural resources and forming a unified regional ecosystem system.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rashad Ismayilov pointed out that the international authority of the OTS is on the rise, with cooperation expanding across various platforms. He highlighted the serious opportunities that exist within the organization to establish unified standards at the regional level and to enhance joint thematic cartography mechanisms.

In the future, Azerbaijan is prepared to support the advancement of cartography, aiming to strengthen its role in the OTS and contribute to the field’s development.
