Czech Republic and Azerbaijan to Bolster Cooperation in Key Sectors


Baku: Infrastructure, digitalization, and water resources management are emerging as promising areas of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, Czech economist Jan Nemecek said on the latest episode of the “Azerbaijan and the World” program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Czech companies are already actively involved in projects to modernize water supply systems in Azerbaijan, where large-scale investment programs are being implemented. The focus on water resources management highlights a significant step in enhancing the infrastructure capabilities of Azerbaijan with Czech expertise.



The expert noted that significant potential also lies in the development of “smart cities” and the digital transformation of public administration. These areas offer opportunities for both countries to collaborate on cutting-edge technological solutions that can transform urban planning and governance.



The interviewee emphasized that technological solutions such as digital urban planning and management systems can serve as a basis for exchanging experience between European countries and Azerbaijan. He also assessed that academic cooperation remains an important area, strengthening ties between universities and training a new generation of specialists for future joint projects.
