Cyber Threat Information Shared with Azerbaijani Banks

Accra:Threat indicators detected during cyberattacks against government agencies in Azerbaijan are being shared with the financial sector, as stated by Nadir Novruzov, Head of Department at the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Novruzov explained that the Service collaborates with financial institutions on cybersecurity matters, particularly with the banking sector through the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Novruzov mentioned that they have a system in place for sharing indicators of compromise. When a threat indicator is identified, relevant information, including IP addresses and malware hash values, is shared with banks.

He highlighted that the information gathered from attacks on government agencies is also communicated to financial institutions to help them take preventive measures against potential cyberattacks.
