Baku: An open court hearing at the Baku Military Court revealed significant documents related to the criminal cases involving citizens of the Republic of Armenia. The proceedings, which continued on September 12, focused on events in 1991 that resulted in several attacks and murders of Azerbaijani citizens.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, one of the key documents discussed concerned an attack on January 12, 1991, involving a bus traveling along the Khojavend-Garadaghli road. The bus, driven by Rahimov Kamal Bakhish oghlu, was carrying 25-30 residents when it came under fire from Armenians using various caliber weapons, resulting in a significant security breach on the 6th kilometer of the road.
Another document addressed the murder of Farana Nariman Nazarova on January 28, 1991, in the village of Khojavend. Additionally, it was disclosed that Mammadov Azer Ispandiyar oghlu, a 7th-grade student from the same village, was wounded in the stomach on January 29, 1991, while playing outside with friends.
Further examination of the criminal cases revealed that Nabiyev Jamal Abbasali oghlu was killed on February 15, 1991. He was shot with automatic weapons near the village of Buzlug while traveling along a mountain road from his home in Goranboy district to the village of Sarisu in Khanlar (now Goygol) district.
The court also reviewed a document detailing the shelling of a passenger bus on February 24, 1991. The incident occurred at the 99th kilometer of the Yevlakh-Lachin highway near Khankendi, where unknown assailants attacked the bus with explosive devices and automatic weapons, injuring several civilians and rendering the bus unusable.
Additionally, evidence was presented regarding the murder of Muradov Gorkhmaz Murad oghlu, an employee of the Aghdam District Police Department. Muradov was reportedly taken hostage by Armenians on February 25, 1991, and subsequently killed the following day in the village of Hajili (Hasli) in Khojavend district.
