Jabrayil: In the liberated city of Jabrayil, residents have been celebrating City Day in their native land with a festive mood for the second year in a row, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event commenced with a photo and interactive exhibition showcasing the ancient and modern history and cultural heritage of the region. Activities such as ‘face art’ and interactive fun games were organized for the city’s young residents, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
The festivities continued with artists performing a concert program, providing enjoyment to attendees. Notable participants included Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, Murad Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Culture, and Novras Jafarov, Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Jabrayil, Zangilan, and Gubadli regions. City intellectuals and public representatives also joined the celebrations dedicated to City Day.
Jabrayil city was liberated from occupation on October 4, 2020, during the 44-day Patriotic War. Following the Decree of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, dated July 31, 2023, which established City Days in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, October 4 is annually celebrated as Jabrayil City Day to honor the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War.
