Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office Visits Azerbaijani Embassies in Vatican and Italy

Vatican city: Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board (CMB), visited the embassies of Azerbaijan in the Holy See and Italy. During these visits, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade familiarized himself with the conditions created at both diplomatic missions and offered his blessings.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani Embassy to the Holy See’s administrative office is strategically located on the main street leading to St. Peter’s Basilica, in proximity to the Apostolic Palace and other official institutions. This positioning underscores the importance of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Vatican.

In Italy, the Azerbaijani Cultural Center operates within the building of the Azerbaijani Embassy. The center’s interior design prominently features Azerbaijani state symbols and national craftsmanship elements, such as traditional netting. Notably, Azerbaijani carpets are highlighted as some of the most valuable exhibits in the center’s collection. Additionally, the Cultural Center showcases books about Azerbaijan, published in Italian by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, further promoting Azerbaijani culture abroad.
