Central Customs Hospital Conducts Medical Campaign for Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev


Baku: A free medical and social campaign dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was organized at the Central Customs Hospital. The event aimed to protect the health of young children deprived of parental care and support their social well-being through a collaboration with the ‘SOS Children’s Villages Azerbaijan’ Association.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the opening ceremony of the event was attended by several key figures, including Head of the Medical Service Department Jeyhun Mammadov, Head Physician and Director of the Central Customs Hospital Bakhtiyar Musayev, Deputy Director Nahida Mahmudova, and Head of the Polyclinic Department Tamilla Aliyeva. Also present were Chairperson of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the Medical Service Department Shahla Mirzazade and a team of specialized doctors, along with mothers and children from the association.



During the opening ceremony, Jeyhun Mammadov emphasized that one of the key aspects of the social policy defined by Heydar Aliyev was ensuring the healthy development of children and providing them with state care. Mammadov highlighted that the principles of humanism and social solidarity established by the National Leader remain a priority in state policy today.



Bakhtiyar Musayev, Director of the Central Customs Hospital, reiterated the importance of prioritizing children’s health in medical institutions. He stated that providing care to children lacking parental support reflects the humanitarian values upheld by society.



As part of the campaign, children received comprehensive medical examinations conducted by a professional team of pediatricians, ophthalmologists, traumatologists, cardiologists, dermatovenerologists, and otorhinolaryngologists. The doctors assessed the children’s general health conditions, offered medical advice, and planned additional follow-ups where necessary.



The event concluded with the distribution of gifts to the children, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere. This initiative not only brought joy to the children but also demonstrated the community’s commitment to providing care and attention to those in need.
