CBA Chairman: The Oil Fund Has Made Budget Transfers in US Dollars Over the Past Three Months

Baku: In the last three months, the State Oil Fund has made transfers to the budget in foreign currency, said Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Taleh Kazimov, at a press conference held today.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the CBA Chairman stated that the reason for these transfers in US dollars is the low demand for dollars at auctions. He elaborated that the requirement for dollar sales is not a restriction but a condition aimed at preventing money laundering and abuse. Kazimov emphasized that there is no limit on the sale of foreign currency, explaining that if one has one million manat, it can be converted into foreign currency by indicating its source.
