Accra:Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia visited the enterprises under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Industry as part of his official visit.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Cambodian Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Ministers of Defence Industry Mehman Bakhishov and Hidayat Azimov. They provided him with insights into the operational principles, production capabilities, and technological advancements of the enterprises.
During the visit, the Prime Minister received detailed information about Azerbaijan’s systematic efforts to enhance its defence industry under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. Achievements in recent years and the implementation of modern technological solutions were highlighted. The visit emphasized the importance of expanding domestic production, adopting innovative technologies, and strengthening research and development to build a highly skilled workforce.
Additionally, the ongoing modernization of the enterprises, including improvements to production processes, introduction of new technological equipment, and infrastructure renewal, was discussed.
The visit also included talks on the prospects for developing the defence industry and opportunities for international cooperation. Both sides underscored the significance of such visits for expanding bilateral relations and exploring new partnership opportunities.
