Brent Oil Price Drops Below $60

London: During trading on the ICE London Intercontinental Exchange, the price of the July 2025 export contract for Brent oil decreased by 3.03%, amounting to USD 59.43 per barrel, APA-Economics reports. On the NYMEX commodity exchange in New York, the price of 1 barrel of WTI crude oil for June delivery this year also fell by 3.31%, amounting to USD 56.36.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this significant drop in oil prices marks a notable shift in the global oil market, impacting both Brent and WTI crude oil benchmarks. The decline in prices indicates changing dynamics in supply and demand within the oil industry. The decrease in Brent oil prices below the USD 60 threshold suggests potential implications for oil producers and consumers worldwide. The reduction in WTI crude oil prices also reflects broader market trends affecting energy commodities.
