BP Increases Operating Expenditure on Azeri-Chirag-Gunahsli in First Half of 2025


Baku: In the first half of 2025, bp and its co-venturers invested approximately $259 million in operating expenditure and around $558 million in capital expenditure on Azeri-Chirag-Gunahsli (ACG) activities.



According to Trend News Agency, this represents a 6.6 percent increase in operating expenditure compared to the first half of 2024, where the operating expenditure was $243 million. However, capital expenditure witnessed a significant decline of over 20 percent, down from more than $698 million in the same period of the previous year.



BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited is the operator for the ACG Production Sharing Agreement, acting on behalf of the Contractor Parties. The participating interests in ACG are as follows: bp holds 30.37%, SOCAR 31.65%, MOL 9.57%, INPEX 9.31%, ExxonMobil 6.79%, TPAO 5.73%, ITOCHU 3.65%, and ONGC Videsh 2.92%.
