Baku:Movie enthusiasts in Azerbaijan will soon find it easier to purchase cinema tickets thanks to a new partnership between Bir and CineMastercard. The collaboration will allow users to buy tickets directly through Birbank, avoiding the need to switch to other platforms.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this partnership aims to extend the capabilities of the Bir ecosystem, which already provides integrated digital solutions in fintech, payments, and e-commerce, into the entertainment sector. A custom interface is being developed within Birbank to facilitate the search for movies, selection of seats, and completion of payments. Users will benefit from an interactive map for seat selection and receive their tickets instantly through the app.
The new functionality is expected to launch by the end of 2026, following the completion of technical integration and testing. This initiative will merge digital payment capabilities with entertainment services, enhancing the speed and accessibility of purchasing movie tickets.
