Barcelona: Barcelona announced this Friday that Eric Garca is renewing with the club and will stay until 2031.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Eric Garca, who grew up in the Blaugrana academy, initially moved to Manchester City in 2017 for 1.7 million euros. During his time there, he developed significantly, which eventually earned him a return to Bar§a.
He made his return to Camp Nou in 2021, where he became a starter at times for the team and also played under Luis Enrique for the Spanish national team.
Criticism emerged toward Eric, leading to a loan move to Girona in 2023, where he had a strong season. He returned to Barcelona in 2024 and became a versatile player, performing well in midfield, full-back, or center-back roles, and finished the last season at a high level.
Eric Garca has begun the 2025/26 season maintaining the form he displayed at the end of last season, resulting in this extension of his contract until 2031.
The club has announced that the renewal will be signed next Thursday the 11th, with an official event scheduled for 1:30 PM, marking a significant moment for the player.
