Baku: The date and venue for the first-ever Sumo World Championship in Azerbaijan have been announced. Ulvi Aghamirov, Vice President of the Japanese Martial Arts and Culture Association, shared this information with AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the tournament is scheduled to take place on October 17-18 next year at the Baku Sports Palace. Sumo wrestlers from 35 countries are expected to participate in the competition.
