Baku: An international conference titled “Guardians of Sovereignty: Constitutional Status of the Prosecutor’s Office” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku. The event was organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” coinciding with the professional holiday and 107th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor’s Office.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference was attended by the Prosecutors General from Uganda, Laos, Tanzania, Kenya, and representatives from Trkiye’s Prosecutor General’s Office. Azerbaijani officials, including the leadership and staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, also participated in the proceedings.
Participants of the conference paid their respects by visiting the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyrs before the event. During the conference, an address from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was delivered by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev.
