Baku City Circuit organizes media tour ahead of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix


The Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) has organized its traditional media tour for foreign journalists as the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is gearing up for another spectacular showdown on the streets of Baku.

According to the company, the tour offers a unique opportunity for the media representatives to explore Azerbaijan’s rich history and charming nature.

During the tour, kicked off at the Gobustan National Historical-Artistic Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the journalists were informed about the museum located in the area of the reserve as they learned about Azerbaijan’s ancient history, witnessing the astonishing rock carvings preserved in Gobustan.

The media representatives then visited the Mud Volcanoes Tourism Complex, where they had a chance to explore unique characteristics of mud volcanoes. Here, they were also informed about 80 rare minerals collected from various regions of Azerbaijan.

The media tour wrapped up strolling through the historic streets of Baku’s Old City, kn
own as Icherisheher, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Azerbaijan’s most treasured cultural sites.

About 300 local and foreign media representatives are expected to cover the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024, scheduled to take place on September 13-15.
